  • A six-axis handheld robotic aid system for spinal surgery with the capacity for automatic positioning and tracking.
  • Streamline the surgical process, reduce exposure to radiation, and enhance surgical safety.
  • Make inroads into the international market for high-end surgical robots.

Development Process

Over the course of this project under the Applied Research Incubation Program, the team developed a prototype, completed functionality assays and animal tests, and established a design control system. Since the establishment of Point Robotics MedTech Inc. on November 10, 2016, BMCC has continued to offer assistance in product commercialization.
