Overview

  • There are presently two serological test methods to diagnosis rheumatoid arthritis: RF and ACPA.
  • However more than a third of rheumatoid arthritis patients test negative by serological tests Using a novel biomarker: peptide antibody against periodontal bacteria greatly increases sensitivity of serological tests to 80.2%。
  • Early confirmation of disease ensures early treatment, and reduces joint damage caused by autoimmunity.

Development Process

Over the course of this project under the Applied Research Incubation Program, the team is set to establish a QC panel, spell out product specifications, and complete a 350-person clinical trial to verify the claimed clinical performance.
