Overview

  • As things stand, high-intensity focused ultrasound technology and products pose a number of problems: a long wait for the desired outcome, a limited covered area per treatment, and extended duration each time.
  • Multiple foci-probe ultrasound technology is employed to increase treatment efficiency by destroying adipocytes and in turn releasing free lipid.
  • This approach offers a good number of benefits: free from incision, few side effects, free from anesthesia and hospitalization, rapid recuperation, and much shorter treatment time.

Development Process

Over the course of this project under the Applied Research Incubation Program, the team, having completed a prototype of the said novel ultrasound lipolysis system, is now conducting functionality assays. On March 22, 2021, Focused Wave Technology Corp. was established.
