IVD Kit for Diagnosis of Endometriosis

Yang Wei-chung, Taipei Medical University
Year 2015Year Period:2015-08-01 to 2016-01-31

Overview

  • Some 25-30% of infertile women have endometriosis. When a patient is still in her early stage of endometriosis, the invasive approach of laparoscopic examination has a 50-50 chance of giving a false positive response.
  • The team has thus developed a highly sensitive, nonintrusive IVD kit for diagnosis of endometriosis.
  • Collecting and testing specimens is made much easier.
  • Minimize the need for invasive examination by a laparoscope.
