Year 2022Year Period:2022-07-01 to

Overview

  • Gastrointestinal bleeding is a common and easily fatal disease. While physicians can stop bleeding with endoscopic procedures such as injections, cauterization, and hemostatic clips, approximately 15-30% of patients still have difficulty stopping or rebleed after the first successful attempt
  • Our team developed a gastrointestinal hemostatic powder and its delivery equipment system, including hemostatic powder, delivery catheter and accessories. The powder is pneumatically sprayed on the bleeding point to achieve the hemostatic effect.

Development Process

In the incubation project period, the team will complete a product design optimization and testing of the gastrointestinal hemostatic powder and delivery device system. A biocompatibility test, safety and efficacy testing will be completed in a pig model for gastrointestinal bleeding.
